Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including sterile IV admixture procedures and compounding medications using aseptic techniques.
- Manage medication inventory, perform data entry accurately into pharmacy software systems, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
- Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, updating patient records, and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, offering medication information, and supporting medication administration processes.
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards by adhering to drug regulation laws and maintaining accurate documentation of all pharmacy activities.
- Proven experience as a pharmacy technician with a strong background community pharmacy environments.
- Knowledge of LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy practices, critical care protocols, and clinical pharmacy operations.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for data entry, medication tracking, and inventory management.
- Understanding of medical terminology, pharmacological concepts, and acute care workflows.
