Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
- Facilitate engaging lessons in core subjects such as literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and physical education.
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments, standardized testing, and formative evaluations; analyze student performance data to tailor instruction effectively.
- Manage classroom behavior with proactive behavior management techniques, creating a respectful and inclusive environment conducive to learning
- Engage in ongoing professional development
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, behavioral concerns, and classroom activities to foster strong home-school connections.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, and administrative duties to contribute to a vibrant school community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Proven classroom experience working with children in elementary grades; experience with 4th grade is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and standardized testing procedures.
- Familiarity with educational technology integration and learning management systems.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs including special education or autism spectrum disorder is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, and families.
- Demonstrated ability in classroom management and behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods based on individual learning styles and monitor student progress.
Pay: $28,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
