Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Delivery Driver/Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the delivery and installation of various appliances and equipment, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered to customers in a timely manner. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a delivery partner.
Responsibilities
- Assist the delivery driver in loading and unloading appliances and equipment from the delivery vehicle.
- Ensure all items are secured properly for transport to prevent damage during delivery.
- Help with the installation of appliances, including assembly and basic setup as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from customers.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues related to appliance functionality upon delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient delivery routes and schedules are followed.
- Adhere to safety protocols while handling heavy equipment and navigating customer premises.
Requirements
- Previous appliance experience as a delivery helper or driver is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor when interacting with clients.
- Ability to operate a box truck safely and efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues on-site.
