Human Resources Manager - Harmony Grove Behavioral Health
Position Overview
Harmony Grove Behavioral Health is seeking a motivated, organized, and people-focused Human Resources Manager to support our growing Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment programs. This position is ideal for an HR professional who has experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee relations, and HR operations and is looking to continue growing their career within a mission-driven healthcare organization.
The Human Resources Manager will oversee the day-to-day human resources functions of the organization, including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, personnel management, benefits administration, compliance, and workforce development. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people, building relationships, supporting employees, and creating a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Experience working in healthcare, behavioral health, addiction treatment, Substance Use Disorder (SUD) programs, or related human services settings is strongly preferred.

Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Lead recruiting efforts for clinical and non-clinical positions.
- Source, screen, interview, and coordinate hiring of qualified candidates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with job boards, schools, professional organizations, and community partners.
- Manage applicant tracking systems and hiring workflows.
- Coordinate job postings, candidate communications, and offer processes.
- Support workforce planning and staffing initiatives.
Employee Onboarding & Personnel Management
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for all new employees.
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR records.
- Manage employee accounts, access requests, onboarding documentation, and employment records.
- Ensure all required licenses, certifications, background checks, and training requirements are maintained.
- Assist with offboarding and exit interview processes.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and supervisors regarding workplace concerns.
- Support managers with coaching, performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Promote a positive and professional workplace culture.
- Assist in employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration across departments.
Human Resources Administration
- Administer employee benefits and leave programs.
- Assist with workers' compensation claims and unemployment matters.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates.
- Ensure accurate employee data management and reporting.
- Support payroll-related HR functions as needed.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Support HIPAA, OSHA, and healthcare workforce compliance requirements.
- Conduct HR audits and maintain personnel documentation.
- Monitor employee training and compliance requirements.
- Assist with accreditation and licensing-related workforce requirements.
Organizational Development
- Support employee development and training initiatives.
- Assist leadership with workforce planning and retention strategies.
- Help identify opportunities to improve employee satisfaction and workplace effectiveness.
- Participate in projects that support organizational growth and operational excellence.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of Human Resources experience.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
Preferred
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, addiction treatment, Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment, or related human services settings.
- Knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and healthcare workforce regulations.
- Experience supporting licensed professionals and credentialing processes.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and workforce management software.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or related HR certification is a plus.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
