Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Nurse to join our dedicated team at our Skilled Nursing Facility. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, performing assessments, administering medications, and supporting residents with diverse medical needs. A strong background in infection control, IV infusion, wound care, and specialized areas like dementia and Alzheimer's care will be highly valued. The Nurse will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards and delivering high quality care tailored to each resident’s needs.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders and protocols
- Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility assistance using Hoyer lifts or other equipment
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly within EMR/EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or behavioral health conditions
- Participate in discharge planning and case management to ensure smooth transitions of care
- Maintain infection control standards and adhere to safety protocols in all procedures
Experience
- Background in geriatrics, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or hospice care is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy for accurate documentation and patient assessment
