Job Description
The Sr. Project Manager plays a key leadership role in managing the construction project life cycle. Reporting to the Manager, Project Management, this position oversees project execution, from preconstruction through completion, ensuring successful delivery.
Responsibilities include project buyout, subcontractor/vendor management, budgeting, scheduling, document control, and coordination of RFIs and submittals. The Sr. Project Manager collaborates with internal teams to optimize processes, implement best practices, and drive business growth. Additionally, they help develop strategies to enhance market position and maintain client confidence through efficient project management
Responsibilities
· Develop and enhance the project management function within the organization.
· Mentor and train staff while fostering team collaboration and process improvements.
· Define project roles, responsibilities, and maintain the RACI matrix.
· Provide clear direction and expectations to project teams.
· Lead technical and OAC meetings with key stakeholders.
· Oversee project delivery from inception through warranty, ensuring on-time, within-budget completion.
· Manage project data, budgets, schedules, and information flow.
· Serve as liaison between clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
· Resolve project issues and conflicts efficiently.
· Support Field Operations during project turnover.
· Represent the company professionally with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
· Maintain and grow industry relationships.
· Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
· Conduct project postmortems and implement lessons learned.
· Ensure proper documentation, financial tracking, and contract compliance.
· Negotiate contracts, scope, and pricing with subcontractors and vendors.
· Oversee RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
· Maintain project schedules and coordinate with Field staff.
· Track and report financials, secure final client payments, and ensure positive cash flow.
· Perform risk assessments and report contract issues.
· Lead Project Management team training and development.
· Support business development and continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
· Expert knowledge of construction industry methods, including ground-up projects and tenant build-outs.
· Experience in project management, including contracting, cost estimating, budgeting, buyout, and scheduling.
· Strong ability to interpret construction drawings.
· Excellent analytical, accounting, and budgeting skills.
· Deep understanding of construction means, methods, project cost accounting, and the project life cycle.
· Proven leadership, management, priority setting, and time management skills.
· Established industry network of contacts, experts, and resources.
· Proficiency using Excel and formulas to create and maintain budgets.
· Detail-oriented with strong planning and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
· Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
· Skilled in negotiation and resourcefulness during buyout and contracting.
· Strong understanding of the construction project life cycle, including scheduling methodologies and analysis tools.
· Proven leadership, management, and decision-making skills with the ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
· Established industry network of contacts, experts, and resources.
· Detail-oriented with strong planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to foster strong working relationships.

· Ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check.
Experience
· Experience: 5-7 years as a Project Manager managing $1M+ projects.
· Education: Bachelor's or Associate degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or related field.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam (Procore experience a plus).
· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to travel and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Salary Range
· $115,000 - $130,000 based on qualifications and experience.
