Job Responsibilities
As a Class A CDL Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on local routes.
- Transport freight safely and efficiently while meeting scheduled delivery and pickup times.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
- Ensure all freight is properly secured and transported according to DOT regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs and complete all required shipping and delivery documentation.
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse personnel.
- Report any mechanical issues, delays, accidents, or safety concerns immediately.
- Follow all DOT, FMCSA, state, and company safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent the company with integrity.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no preventable accidents.
- No major traffic violations or serious safety infractions.
- Strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Ability to safely operate tractor-trailers in various weather and traffic conditions.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to safe driving practices.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Schedule
- Local routes based in Swedesboro, NJ.
- Approximately 10-hour shifts.
- Home every night.
