We’re hiring a Full Time Seasonal/Limited Term Utility Support Staff to serve as a flexible, cross-department support role. This person will move between Receiving, Shipping/Logistics, Production, and Fulfillment based on workload and department needs. This is a seasonal summer position, students looking for summer work are encouraged to apply!
Because priorities shift with touring schedules, incoming inventory, and webstore order volume, your “primary” department may change day to day (and week to week). Success in this role looks like being adaptable, detail-oriented, and ready to jump in wherever you’re needed — while keeping quality, accuracy, and team communication at the center.
Bonus (not required): shipping/receiving experience, inventory management, fulfillment experience, screen printing experience, familiarity with shipping systems.

Limited Term Duration:
The anticipated dates of this position are: TBD but expected to be from Monday, August 31, 2026 through Friday, October 30, 2026.
Position Type: Full Time Hourly (30-40 hours/week)
Scheduled hours may vary on a week to week basis, but are planned to be around 30-40 hours per week. Scheduled shifts are Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm).
Pay Rate:
$15.75/hour (non-exempt hourly position)
Primary Roles & Responsibilities
Please note: These responsibilities are inclusive of working closely with many team members and departments. Additional roles and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Receiving — Primary Roles
- Checks in incoming blank apparel goods
- Helps stage blank apparel goods for printing
- Checks in outsourced goods
- Checks in incoming e-commerce and webstore stock
- Checks in printed goods from production
- Ensures all incoming goods meet Ambient Inks’ quality standards
- Records and reports any damaged items, errors, or inaccuracies to the Shipping & Receiving Manager
- Helps stock fulfillment shelves with incoming merchandise
Shipping & Logistics — Primary Roles
- Pulls, packs, records, and ships outgoing bulk e-commerce and tour UPS shipments
- Pulls and records outgoing tour freight shipments
- Packs and palletizes outgoing tour freight shipments
- Pulls, packs, and records bulk client pickups
Production & Fulfillment Support — As Needed
Provides support to the production and fulfillment teams as needed and during busy touring months. Tasks include but are not limited to:
Production Support
- Screen washing
- Taping / prepping screens
- Folding tees
- Apparel finishing (hang tagging, applying size stickers, retail bagging)
- Packing orders
- Sending out orders
- General shop cleaning
- Apparel / poster printing assistant
Fulfillment Support
- Packing and shipping orders
- Processing orders for shipment
- Pulling merchandise to fulfill orders
- Counting in and organizing incoming merchandise
- Webstore customer returns/exchanges
Misc. Projects and Other Tasks
- Other miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned
- Moving shelving, pick shelves, pallets, or inventory
- Organizing inventory or other items in the warehouse or production areas
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to shift priorities quickly and work across multiple departments
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Clear communication and willingness to ask questions / flag issues early
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Comfort working in a warehouse/production environment

Physical Requirements
- This position requires you to be on your feet for the majority of the day
- Must be able to frequently lift 25–35 lb boxes (up to 40 lbs)

Location
This is not a remote position. This role is on-site at our webstore fulfillment facility: 2510 Alpine Road, Eau Claire, WI 54703. Reliable transportation is required. Preference for candidates living in Eau Claire or surrounding area.
