Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate customs entries and documentation for import and export shipments in accordance with international trade regulations.
- Verify compliance with customs regulations, FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulations, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely processing of shipments and proper classification of goods.
- Utilize global trade management software and Excel data analysis tools to review shipment data, identify discrepancies, and generate detailed reports.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs clearance procedures, export management protocols, and transportation safety regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Support regulatory compliance management by preparing documentation for audits, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting obligations.
- Assist in managing trade compliance programs related to OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions and other international trade restrictions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience or education related to logistics, supply chain management, or customs brokerage is preferred but not required.
- Strong technical proficiency with global trade management software, Excel data analysis, and report writing tools.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations including FDA regulations, customs regulations compliance, export management, and import management.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), fleet management principles, and freight operations is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze data accurately and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners effectively.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing regulatory environments while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
