Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism and other behavioral health challenges. This position involves providing assistance in daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the well-being of clients. The DSP will work closely with individuals to implement personalized care plans while fostering a supportive and nurturing environment. Seeking individuals with RBT Certification.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Implement individualized support plans based on applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behaviors.
- Provide educational support to clients, helping them develop life skills and social interactions.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Monitor client progress and report any changes in behavior or health to the appropriate personnel.
- Engage clients in recreational activities that enhance their quality of life and promote social engagement.
Skills
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
- Experience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities, including autism.
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy practices and strategies for managing challenging behaviors.
- Strong understanding of medical documentation processes and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Ability to educate clients on various skills while promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality standards as outlined by HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
