Come join the State Parks team as a Senior Park Aide (seasonal) in the beautiful Oceano Dunes District. The reporting location for this position is 928 Pacific Blvd., Oceano, CA 93445. This position meets and greets the general public while maintaining a positive customer service approach. Act as a lead person to park aides in the revenue program, including training lower-level park aides. Ensure information flow is maintained for an efficient operation. Collect and compute park entrance fees and sell passes following proper accounting and department procedures. Work may be required on weekends, holidays and evenings, if necessary.
This position may work up to 1500 hours within 12 consecutive months. This position is designated as not telework eligible.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license and a safe driving record as documented by the Department of Motor Vehicles is needed within 60 days prior to appointment. (A safe driving record is one free from convictions in the past two years for repeated moving violations or a single serious violation, such as drunk driving or reckless driving.)
