Key Responsibilities:
- Own the complete client engagement process from start to finish, managing a portfolio of small to large business clients with full autonomy
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering exceptional service and acting as a strategic advisor on tax planning, compliance, and business matters
- Drive business development by cultivating new client relationships and expanding existing engagements
- Oversee the preparation and review of individual, partnership, trust, estate, and corporate tax returns
- Lead complex tax planning and research initiatives, identifying opportunities and mitigating risk for clients
- Mentor, supervise, and develop junior staff, reviewing their work and supporting their growth
- Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and profitability across your book of business
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes as needed
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and accounting standards, and translate them into actionable client strategies
- Collaborate with firm leadership to identify and implement process improvements and contribute to the firm's strategic direction
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's in Taxation a plus)
- Active CPA license required
- 5+ years of public accounting experience, with a proven track record managing a range of small to large business clients independently
- Demonstrated ability to own the entire client process and work with a high degree of independence
- Strong drive for client-facing work and a genuine interest in business development and growing a book of clients
- Proficiency in accounting and tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and professional tax preparation platforms)
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
- A highly motivated, entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to grow into a partnership role within a transitioning firm
Compensation & Benefits:
We offer an extremely competitive compensation package designed to reward performance and align with our partner-track vision, including:
