Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression of the restaurant
- Manage restaurant reservations using table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and guest flow
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations with proper phone etiquette
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times effectively to guests
- Assist with guest inquiries, ensuring their needs are addressed promptly and courteously
- Support food service staff by managing guest seating and ensuring smooth transitions between dining parties
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest interactions positively and professionally
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and POS transactions
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor
