We are looking for a Commercial HVAC Service Technician. You will work with numerous systems, to maintain, diagnose and correct HVAC system problems. This includes replacing parts and adjusting system controls for better performance by using special tools and diagnostic equipment.
POSITION OVERVIEW and COMPENSATION
- Highly motivated, EPA certified HVAC Technician with experience in commercial service (sales experience a plus).
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff and coworkers.
- Bring a positive attitude and be able to promote a professional, and friendly work environment.
- Provides preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, equipment and Controls.
- Troubleshoots units that are not working and replaces parts that are defective.
- Installs refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, building automation control, and humidity control systems.
- Understanding and troubleshooting knowledge of the following:
- Rooftop Units
- Air Handling Units
- Air-Cooled Chillers
- Conventional and Condensing Boilers
- Wet Systems
- Cooling Towers
- VAV Boxes
- Variable Frequency Drives
- Unitary Split Systems
- Ductless Mini-split Units
- Variable-Refrigerant Flow Systems
- Building Controls
- Complete ongoing industry training as needed.
- This position comes with a competitive base salary and generous spiff programs.
POSITION COMPETENCIES
- 5 yrs experience
- Have or willing to get the Indiana HVAC license, have or willing to get Kentucky license.
- Knowledge of the theory, methods, practices, tools and equipment of the trade
- Universal EPA Certified
- Knowledge of basic electricity and control systems
- Ability to apply the theory, technique, principles and processes of the HVAC mechanic’s trade
- Ability to read, understand and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
