Overview
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Sheet Metal Installer to join our dynamic construction and service team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing sheet metal systems for commercial buildings, including HVAC ductwork, ventilation, and related mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction experience, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Duties
- Install and assemble sheet metal components for HVAC systems, ventilation, and other mechanical applications according to schematics and design specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise installation.
- Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues and perform repairs.
- Collaborate with project managers, service technicians, and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Perform system testing and commissioning to verify proper operation of installed equipment.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols during all phases of installation and service.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on sheet metal installation or related trades.
- Service technician experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, and building automation systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC system repair, maintenance, and installation.
- Experience with HVAC system troubleshooting including electrical diagnostics and equipment repair.
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
