Role Summary: The Branch Manager overseas the daily operations of their assigned branch. They ensure that member service, lending, and teller functions operate with accuracy, compliance, and a high degree of excellence. This role leads with both accountability and empathy. They must foster a culture of teamwork and integrity and be proactive at problem solving.
The Branch Manager is also responsible for building a member experience that reflects Origin Credit Union’s mission and values, while meeting branch goals in growth, service, and operational efficiency.
They serve as a coach while remaining active in the day-to-day activities. They ensure that procedures are followed staff are supported and members feel seen and served.

Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the daily operations of the branch, including teller operations, new accounts, loan
processing, and member service.
- Supervise and coach branch staff, conducting performance reviews, mid-year check-ins, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with BSA/AML, OFAC, and other regulatory standards; file CTRs and review daily reports as required.
- Function as a loan officer, reviewing and approving loans in accordance with policy and ensuring documentation accuracy.
- Maintain the security and integrity of branch systems, cash drawers, vaults, and general ledgers.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and end-of-day balancing.
- Resolve member complaints and identify recurring issues; escalate concerns as appropriate.
- Promote credit union products and services through consultative selling and staff coaching.
- Monitor and track branch performance metrics, including new accounts, teller transactions, and loan volume.
- Support staff in marketing and community engagement efforts to grow membership and deepen relationships.
- Coordinate charitable or volunteer activities on behalf of the branch at least annually.
- Review audit checklists, reports, and findings to ensure compliance and readiness for internal reviews.
- Serve as branch liaison for internal communication, policy updates, and operational training.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the credit union’s mission and branch success.

- Reports directly to the COO
- Collaborates closely with Lending/Collections, Operations, and Compliance teams
- Supervises front-line staff, providing daily guidance and long-term development.
- Serves as the face of the credit union in the local community through engagement and outreach.

- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Supervising: 3 years (Preferred)
- banking or credit union: 3 years (Preferred)
