Pay: $18.36 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Unarmed Security Officer to join our team at a prominent healthcare facility in Athens, OH. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff within the healthcare environment. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will provide a visible security presence, monitor for suspicious activity, and respond to various security-related incidents to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine patrols of the healthcare facility and its grounds.

Monitor security cameras and alarms to detect and respond to unusual activity.

Assist in enforcing the facility's policies and procedures related to safety and security.

Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, providing assistance and coordinating with local law enforcement or emergency personnel when needed.

Control access to restricted areas and ensure only authorized personnel enter certain locations.

Provide a professional presence by assisting staff, patients, and visitors, offering support when necessary.

Maintain accurate records of incidents and daily activities.

Provide assistance with emergency evacuations when necessary.
Requirements Include:

Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Ability to obtain an Ohio Guard Card and meet the qualifications for security officers in Ohio.

Clean drug screen, background check, and physical exam clearance.

Must have at least 2+ years of security experience, and/or a combination of the following:
-
Law Enforcement experience
-
Healthcare experience
-
Corrections experience
-
Military experience
-
Associate Degree in a relevant field
-
Crisis intervention experience
-
Behavioral Health experience
Preferred Qualifications:
-
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) training is a plus but not required.
