Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Center Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our educational and childcare center. In this pivotal role, you will drive program excellence, foster a positive environment for staff and students, and ensure the smooth functioning of all administrative and educational activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Student & Academic Support
- Teach students during their first instructional session and provide instruction as needed.
- Administer initial academic evaluations.
- Assist with new student onboarding and orientation.
- Conduct parent interim conferences (ICs) with families to review progress.
- Complete program audits to ensure student programs remain accurate and effective.
Scheduling & Program Management
- Help monitor and maintain student and teacher schedules.
- Ensuring all first day program components are complete.
- Coordinate student practice test scheduling.
- Manage new student intakes, virtual conferences, and enrollment preparation.
Administrative & Operational Duties
- Perform daily administrative and office functions.
- Process billing statements.
- Monitor center inventory and communicate supply needs to the Center Director.
- Maintain center organization and complete daily facility maintenance tasks.
- Assist with daily operational workflows to ensure efficient center performance.
Family & Customer Relations
- Conduct initial inquiries, educational consultations, and student intakes.
- Provide outstanding customer service to prospective and current families.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff through consistent communication.
Marketing & Community Engagement
- Help coordinate and promote center events, workshops, and community outreach initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Proven personnel management skills with experience supervising staff in educational settings or early childhood centers.
- Demonstrated ability in program development tailored for children’s developmental needs as well as higher education contexts if applicable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and educational administrative software systems.
- Prior experience as a school administrative director or in a leadership role within an early childhood or education center is highly desirable.
- Strong writing skills for report writing, documentation, and communication with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, early childhood education best practices, and university or higher education administration principles.
- Excellent team leadership abilities with a focus on fostering collaboration among diverse teams.
