Haley Contracting is a well established 35+ year old company, doing work throughout Northern California. We are expanding our underground & sitework division significantly and need a strong operational leader to run day-to-day project execution, field crews, and client relationships.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager or Division Manager to take ownership of our Underground Utilities & Siteworks division. This is a hands-on leadership role — you will be responsible for estimating, scheduling, field supervision, and profitability across a growing book of underground work including wet utilities, dry utilities, and site infrastructure.
This role is ideal for someone who has managed multiple concurrent projects and is ready to step into a division leadership seat with real P&L accountability. You will work directly with company ownership and have significant influence over how the division grows.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Full P&L responsibility for the underground division
- Project estimating, bidding, and buyout
- Scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and self-perform field crew management
- Owner and GC relationship management
- Monthly cost-to-complete reviews and forecasting
- Hiring, mentoring, and developing field superintendents and foremen
- Safety program compliance and jobsite standards
- Coordination with in-house plumbing division on shared-scope projects
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years managing underground utility projects (water, sewer, storm, dry utilities)
- Experience running $1M–$5M+ projects from estimate through closeout
- Strong understanding of production rates, crew management, and cost control
- Familiarity with public works and private developer work in California
- Proficiency with project management and estimating software
- Valid CA driver's license; clean record
- OSHA 30 preferred
- Ability to read and interpret civil and utility plans

Pay: $175,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
