Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail oriented and motivated GL Accountant to join our team. This role will support the Corporate Controller in daily operations and onsite accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general ledger processes and be able to maintain accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Corporate Controller in managing daily accounting operations and financial reporting.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data through regular audits and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather and analyze financial information.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 2+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or related area.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
