As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while facilitating the repair and maintenance of vehicles. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and that they receive accurate information regarding their vehicle's service requirements. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge will help guide customers through their service options, enhancing their overall experience at our dealership.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive needs.
- Provide accurate estimates for services and repairs while effectively upselling additional services when appropriate.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service orders, and vehicle history.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding the status of their vehicles and any necessary follow-up services.
- Utilize your knowledge of automotive repair, including oil changes, brake repair, transmissions, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, and auto body repair to assist customers effectively.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage billing processes efficiently.
- Stay informed about the latest automotive technologies and service techniques to provide informed recommendations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dealership environment is preferred.
- Strong background in auto service management or as a service technician is highly desirable.
- Proven skills in customer service with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems is essential.
- Experience in sales or upselling services is a plus.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices including air brake systems and auto estimating.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly to customers.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
