STAFF ACCOUNTANT JOB DESCRIPTION
· GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
o Full Accounts Payable Process including invoice entry, proper G/L account coding, payment scheduling relative to invoice terms, invoice validation, invoice approvals, and check preparation
o Loan level posting of accounts payable in accounting system
o New Vendor set-up in Accounting system, including obtaining W-9 and ACH information for payment of invoices
o Vendor communication as required to ensure invoices are received and paid timely
o Support on maintaining all standard payment items such as reoccurring payments, including leases and other contract payments
o Daily/Monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card transactions
o Assist in Month-end close process, including monthly accruals, cost center allocations, posting of reoccurring journal entries, and G/L reconciliations
o Proactive in assisting the team with new projects.
o Support various other day-to-day accounting functions
· REQUIRED SKILLS
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
o Strong written and communication skills
o Basic knowledge and understanding of GAAP accounting, debits & credits
o Basic knowledge and understanding of Mortgage accounting
· PROFICIENT IN:
o EXCEL – VLOOKUP, PIVOT TABLES
· OTHER TECHNICAL SKILLS
o Mortgage Accounting
o GL System (AMB accounting software preferred)
o Knowledge of LOS System (ENCOMPASS preferred)
Pay Range is $30-$33/hr DOE
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
