Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Lease Operator, where you'll play a vital role in managing and optimizing our fleet and equipment operations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to oversee transportation logistics, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain seamless vehicle and asset management. As a key contributor, you'll drive efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction through proactive operations management and technical proficiency in logistics systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate the daily movement of leased vehicles and equipment to ensure timely delivery and pickup.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to uphold safety standards and operational readiness.
- Manage documentation related to vehicle leasing agreements, compliance records, and operational logs with precision.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms to track fleet activity, optimize routing, and improve process workflows.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling processes.
- Ensure adherence to transportation safety regulations, regulatory compliance standards, and industry best practices.
- Support inventory management efforts by tracking assets, managing procurement processes, and coordinating sourcing activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics management, warehouse distribution, or transportation operations.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including inventory control, demand planning, freight forwarding, and shipping logistics.
- Technical proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms like AS400 or CMMS tools.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification preferred.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, 3PL (third-party logistics), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and freight forwarding processes.
- Excellent data analysis skills with experience using Microsoft Office suite for reporting and process improvement initiatives.
- Effective team management skills with a focus on operations management and logistics team coordination.
- Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations, regulatory compliance standards, and materials handling procedures.
- Exceptional customer service orientation combined with problem-solving abilities to address logistical challenges proactively.
