Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customer service, be a fast learner, and be able to work independently.
Duties
- Answering phones with a high level of customer service
- Perform specimen collections following proper chain of custody collection procedures, properly package specimens, ship packages with the appropriate courier and properly finish necessary paperwork. (urine, saliva, hair, fingernail, and DNA)
- Data entry, filing reports
- Report urine, hair, alcohol, fingernail, hair follicle and DNA test results to the client using the appropriate reporting protocol agreed upon by the client.
- Cleaning the testing rooms and office daily
- Collect payment from clients and properly fill out and process the client chain of custody testing form.
- Conduct sales calls and accurately present lab services to prospective customers.
- Monitor and inventory testing supplies.
Experience
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques, including specimen collection processing and medical terminology is highly desirable.
- Must be proficient and organized in fast-paced environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols is essential for success in this role.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Customer service skills of 1 year or more is preferred.
- Able to work independently, be organized and be able to maintain the facility.
Preferred but not necessary:
- Prior sales experience
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking)
