Position Summary:
We are looking for a CAD Technician with strong AutoCAD experience to support the development of plans and drawings for oil and gas infrastructure projects. This role will work closely with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to produce accurate and high-quality design documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and modify detailed drawings using AutoCAD for oil and gas projects (pipelines, facilities, and related infrastructure)
- Develop plan sets, profiles, alignments, and as-built drawings
- Interpret field data, survey information, and engineering markups
- Maintain drawing standards and ensure QA/QC compliance
- Coordinate with internal teams to support project deliverables and deadlines
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of CAD experience (oil & gas or civil experience preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience working with survey data is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with pipeline drafting and alignment sheets
- Familiarity with industry standards and permitting drawings
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in CAD or related field
