Overview
PPP is expanding into our second location Fall of 2026! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our educational team for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves engaging in lessons, implementing effective classroom management strategies, supporting the developmental needs of each child, and maintaining a clean and well organized classroom space. Duties
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate lessons that promote literacy, math, and overall childhood development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Foster communication skills by encouraging children to express themselves verbally and through play.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support each child's individual learning journey.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with diverse needs, including those with autism or other disabilities.
- Maintain a clean and organized building/classroom space conducive to learning.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
Experience
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification (must be a fully in person course)
- Current Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Enhanced Background Check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
