EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports financial examinations that help monitor the solvency and operations of insurers across Pennsylvania. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the careful review of company records and practices to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations. As a Insurance Company Examiner 1, you will perform the following duties:

Exam Support: Assist in reviewing insurer records, documents, and financial statements during risk focused examinations

Compliance Review: Check company practices to ensure they follow Pennsylvania insurance laws and industry standards

Information Gathering: Research regulatory filings and speak with staff and company personnel to understand operations

Work Paper Preparation: Prepare examination work papers that clearly document findings and work performed

Risk Assessment: Help identify solvency risks and evaluate controls or mitigation strategies used by the insurer

Communication Tasks: Share examination findings with the examiner-in-charge, management, and insurer through reports and discussions

Travel to exam sites is required.

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Home Headquartered: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
