We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and facilities infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct repairs on electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals; troubleshoot issues with electrical equipment and replace faulty components as needed.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose problems and complete repairs efficiently.
- Carry out welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and other building interior maintenance tasks to uphold facility appearance and safety standards.
- Maintain facilities equipment by performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and repairing or replacing parts to minimize downtime.
- Supervise or assist with the installation of new systems or upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications.
- Support customer service initiatives by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants, providing clear communication throughout the process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or similar roles within manufacturing or residential environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiar with schematics and electrical work procedures.
- Hands-on expertise with plumbing system maintenance and repair; ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively.
- Proficiency in HVAC system repair and understanding of HVAC principles; experience with HVAC system diagnostics is highly desirable.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and testing devices such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical problems.
- Knowledge of maintenance painting techniques including residential painting; ability to perform maintenance painting tasks as needed.
- Supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for coordinating team efforts on larger projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to document work accurately through reports and logs.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and manuals; familiarity with facilities equipment maintenance standards.
- Valid certifications related to plumbing, electrical work, welding, or HVAC are advantageous but not mandatory; ongoing training is supported.
