Community Living Services Direct Support Professional (DSP) Sub – Flexible, Could be 1st, 2nd or 3rd Shift (Depending on Open Available Positions) – Ability to Work Weekends Preferred. This position is capped at 19.75 hours per week. All DSP positions require a High School Diploma or GED. This DSP position candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable/insured vehicle.
- Supporting individuals in a group home setting.
- Provide natural learning opportunities.
- Assist in leisure activities such as exercise, reading, etc.
- Provide additional support for an aging population.
- Engage in meaningful activities such as cultivating social, life, & sensory skills.
- Assist with daily living and personal care (bathing, cooking, eating, cleaning, etc.)
- Escort individuals on outings - to appointments, sporting or entertainment events, church, or EP!C activities, etc.
Position Objective: Provides services and supports to individuals in all environments according to each person-centered plan. Recognizes natural learning opportunities and uses those to teach independent living skills, enhancing individuals’ independence. To maintain the individual’s home within established standards, including health and safety guidelines, protection of individual rights, and fiscal parameters. Will follow Rule 50, Dept. of Human Services Rule 115, Rule 116, Rule 119, Rule 120, and any other relevant regulatory guidelines.
