Ability to read blueprints and follow welding procedures

What you'll do as: Top Tube Support Welder/Stick

Perform Stick (SMAW) welding on top tube supports and structural steel components
Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, fitting, and positioning components
Inspect completed welds for defects and conformance to quality specifications
Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and alignment of assemblies

Skills and Experience:

Preferred Candidate Might:

Previous experience with Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/Stick)
Knowledge of welding procedures, fabrication processes, and quality standards
Experience working with carbon steel and structural steel components
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
High school diploma or GED preferred
- Stick welding on galvanized steel
- Must pass weld test, visual
