Highland Mountain Rescue’s primary goal is to provide prompt emergency care and rapid extrication to injured riders throughout our expansive network of trails. In addition, patrollers are one of the primary ambassadors of the mountain rescue and applicants should have strong customer service skills and thrive in a team-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
- Applicants must be Nationally Registered EMTs or higher.
- Valid New Hampshire providers license with some EMS experience (ambulance or patrol) preferred.
- No biking experience required.
- First response to all walk-in patients.
- Run dispatch by receiving calls and dispatching riding patrollers from the summit or FAB to the correct locations.
- First response on hill via 6×6 when needed
- Aid in transports off the hill
- Applicants must be capable of and prepared for heavy lifting, hiking, moving through rough terrain in inclement weather, inhospitable wilderness environments, etc.
- Inspecting trails by foot.
- Trail and trail signage maintenance.
- Lift operations and evacuation.
- risk management.
- event coordination and staffing.
- Maintaining working order of all response vehicles, and keeping them fully stocked with the appropriate medical equipment.
- Maintaining appropriate stock levels of all medical equipment from packs, to FAB.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrate our core values: Safety first, Striving to be the best
- Excellent risk management skill
- Able to interact well within a positive, high-energy team environment
- 1+ years of experience in related field
- Current state provides license
- Some weekend availability April-November
- Strong customer service skills and
- Must hold full and unrestricted driver’s license
