The Intern will be responsible for learning the functions and processes of Supply Chain focused in contracting and negotiations, completing projects, and other work as assigned. The intern’s responsibilities may include the following: negotiate the legal, business, and financial terms and conditions; evaluate and quantify the financial impact of the agreements and/or supply conversions to the organization; work with suppliers to gather information to support contracting events and/or product conversions; draft, edit and secure approvals and signatures on agreements; and work with analysts to translate pricing from the agreement to the Hospital’s ordering system. In addition, the Intern may be given selected work assignments to reinforce the learning experience, to assess understanding of assignments and to provide benefit to the Leadership and Supply Chain team.
Bachelor’s degree and enrolled in a Master’s or Law degree program with an interest in practicing in healthcare administration or supply chain management. Background with experience in contract drafting, supply chain, and sourcing strongly preferred.
