Overview
SCS Supply Chain Services is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Supply Chain Operations Coordinator to support end-to-end logistics, procurement, inventory management, transportation, and distribution operations. This role is responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, maintaining accurate operational records, optimizing workflow efficiency, and collaborating with suppliers, warehouses, carriers, and internal teams to ensure exceptional service. Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily supply chain operations, including procurement, transportation, inventory management, warehousing, and order fulfillment
- Communicate with suppliers, freight carriers, distribution centers, and internal departments to ensure efficient operational execution
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments, inventory availability, and delivery schedules to meet customer requirements
- Prepare and maintain purchase orders, shipping documentation, inventory reports, freight records, and operational dashboards
- Support demand planning, inventory forecasting, replenishment, and stock optimization activities
- Analyze logistics and supply chain performance metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction
- Maintain accurate data within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Coordinate supplier performance evaluations and assist with vendor relationship management
- Resolve shipment discrepancies, inventory issues, and operational challenges in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices
Requirements
- Previous experience in supply chain management, logistics, transportation, procurement, warehouse operations, or inventory control preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or NetSuite
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and inventory management platforms
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other reporting and analytics tools
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies
- APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) are highly desirable
