Job Title: Sales and Marketing Director
Reports To: Executive Director/Administrator
Position Summary: The Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing efforts for the Senior Living Community, ensuring occupancy goals are met while promoting the facility's services to prospective residents, families, and referral sources. This role involves developing and executing marketing strategies, conducting tours, building relationships with referral networks, and ensuring the completion of necessary assessments and paperwork. The Sales and Marketing Director works closely with the community team to maintain high occupancy levels and enhance the facility’s brand presence in the market.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Sales and Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy that aligns with the community's occupancy goals and objectives.
- Create and manage marketing campaigns, digital advertising, social media content, and community outreach efforts to promote the community’s services.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calls, networking, referrals, and community partnerships.
- Build and maintain relationships with key referral sources, including hospitals, rehab centers, physicians, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Attend networking events, health fairs, and industry conferences to promote the senior living community and build a strong referral base.
- Maintain ongoing communication with potential residents and families, providing information and support throughout the decision-making process.
- Conduct tours for prospective residents and their families, highlighting the benefits of the community and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Create personalized presentations based on the needs and preferences of prospective residents to showcase the facility’s services, amenities, and lifestyle options.
- Ensure that all follow-up communications are timely and tailored to the specific interests and needs of the individual or family.
- In-Home, Hospital, Physicians Offices or Rehab Setting Assessments:
- Conduct assessments of potential residents in their current living situations, which may include in-home visits, hospital visits, or visits to rehabilitation centers, to determine the appropriateness of the community for the individual.
- Review medical and personal care needs and ensure that the facility can provide the necessary level of care.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure that the admission process is seamless and appropriate for each resident.
- Administrative Responsibilities:
- Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner, including resident admission forms, financial documents, and care assessments, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM or management system, tracking leads, follow-ups, and conversions.
- Prepare and submit reports on sales activity, occupancy rates, and marketing effectiveness for management review.
- Community Awareness and Branding:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase brand awareness and enhance the community's reputation through local advertising, public relations efforts, and partnerships.
- Position the facility as a leader in senior care services by showcasing the community’s unique value proposition through various media outlets, events, and partnerships.
- Customer Service and Family Support:
- Provide exceptional customer service to prospective residents, families, and referral sources, ensuring a positive experience during the admission process.
- Assist families in understanding the transition process and provide emotional support as they navigate the decision to move into the senior living community.
- Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
- Conduct market research to analyze local competitors, pricing, and trends to adjust strategies and stay competitive in the market.
- Monitor the local senior living landscape and community demographics to identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaboration with Leadership:
- Work closely with the Executive Director, Clinical Team, and other department heads to ensure that the community's services meet the needs of residents and prospective residents.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure that move-ins and transitions into the community are smooth and well-coordinated.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the senior living or healthcare industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and achieving high occupancy rates.
- Experience with conducting assessments in home, hospital, or rehab settings is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including families, healthcare professionals, and prospective residents.
- Knowledge of the senior living industry, including personal care homes, assisted living, and memory care services.
- Proficient with Google systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Licensing and Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to attend off-site meetings and assessments.
- Ability to complete required state training or certification as necessary.
Work Environment:
- The position is typically performed in an office setting within the senior living community, but requires regular travel for off-site assessments, networking events, and meetings.
- May require evening and weekend hours for tours, events, or responding to urgent leads.
- Travel may be required to hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or in-home settings for assessments, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods during tours and meetings.
- Ability to travel locally for assessments and meetings.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
