About Slippery Fish
Slippery Fish is a cooperative, play-based, inclusion preschool with programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Through play and developmentally appropriate practice, teachers and teaching-parents/guardians support the interests and needs of each child. Our programs incorporate emergent, project-based learning and anti-bias curriculum into children's experiences in the classroom. We have a strong inclusion focus: ~30% of our children receive or have been referred for early intervention services, and our collaborative teaching team brings a great deal of specific education and expertise to support individual children. 20-40% of our community receives full tuition support through the SF Department of Early Childhood, which qualifies our site for the Cares 3.0 stipend in the blue tier. Our community of diverse families works both in and out of the classroom to make Slippery Fish a wonderful place to learn and grow. Participating in the school and classroom together, we nurture connections that sustain our children and families.
