Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shift: 8–10-hour day shifts, no nights.
Core Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor saws, drills, and CNC machines per shop drawings and prints.
- Load/unload raw materials (steel plates, beams, pipes) and ensure proper alignment for processing.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy; adjust machines as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols, use PPE, and report hazards promptly.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders for machine setup.
- Complete daily inspection reports and perform routine machine maintenance.
- Coordinate with supervisors and teams to prioritize and complete work orders on schedule.
- Verify or modify CNC files to align with shop standards.
- Maintain records of settings, output, maintenance, and repairs, report progress regularly.
- Suggest process, tooling, or workflow improvements to boost efficiency and quality.
- Use hand tools for equipment setup and adjustments.

Education and Experience:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum age: 18
- Machine / CNC Operator experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to handle physical workload and lift 50+ lbs.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Other:
- Pre-employment drug screen required.
- Steel-toed boots required.
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Uniforms provided after 6 months.
Work Environment
This position involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and overhead cranes, occasional outdoor conditions, and moderate noise levels typical of a fabrication shop. The employee may be exposed to extreme heat or cold and to loud machinery or equipment. When entering production areas, employees must adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hearing protection and safety glasses. Work Schedule
Primarily scheduled Monday through Friday. When scheduled on Saturday, work is required. Additional or alternate schedule times may be required based on business needs.
Typical weekday shifts may include:
- 5:45 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (8 hours)
- 5:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (9 hours)
- 5:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (10 hours)
Typical Saturday schedule: 5:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. (5 hours)
Physical Demands
This position involves regular movement throughout the facility, including standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, crouching, and climbing. The employee will frequently use their hands and arms and must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. The role includes a mix of office work and active participation in a fabrication shop environment, which may require regularly lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
