Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and industrial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in a variety of electrical systems and tools. This role requires a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
- Conduct tests using ammeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other testing devices to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues in both commercial and industrial settings.
- Work collaboratively on construction sites to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety protocols.
- Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Ensure all work is performed according to local codes and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrician in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety practices.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and voltmeters.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Valid electrician's license or certification is preferred.
