Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for retail sales transactions
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and process refunds with precision and integrity
- Upsell additional items like toppings or specialty desserts to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and adhering to food safety guidelines
- Support food preparation tasks when needed, including serving ice cream or assisting in basic food handling
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments
- Strong cashiering skills with familiarity in POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service abilities with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety management, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Previous experience in retail sales transactions or grocery store environments is a plus
- Basic math skills for quick calculations and transaction accuracy
