American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Vascular Interventional Radiology position at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 2 years of critical care or procedural nursing experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Interventional Radiology unit within a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital (865 staffed beds)
-
Vascular Interventional Radiology specialty, including circulating for interventional procedures
-
Schedule rotates between 4x10-hour shifts (7:30a–6p) and 3x12-hour shifts (7a–7p)

Rotating on-call required for weeknights, weekends, and holidays

Weekend work required when on call

Floating within scope to meet facility needs is possible; no floating to sister facilities

Charting via Epic

Scrubs provided by the facility

Active SC RN license or compact state license — candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must be fully licensed before starting

Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS

Minimum 2 years of RN experience in ER, trauma, ICU, critical care, or procedural nursing

Moderate sedation experience required

Pediatric and/or adult vascular IR experience and circulating for interventional procedures is highly preferred

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Radiation badge must be provided by your agency — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers

First-time travelers are accepted depending on position-specific evaluation
-
Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized

Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
-
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs

Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November, peak months August–September), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties

Parking costs apply on nights and weekends only (one-time $20 parking pass fee)
