Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members are trained volunteers who assist emergency services during disasters, large-scale incidents, and community events. Members provide support in non-hazardous roles and help improve overall community preparedness and response capabilities.
Compensation: This is a volunteer position with no monetary compensation.
Minimum Qualifications:

At least 18 years of age

Ability to complete required CERT training

Ability to pass a background check

Willingness to attend trainings and respond to incidents when available
Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Work may occur in outdoor and emergency environments

Exposure to various weather conditions and stressful situations

Ability to stand, walk, and lift weight (up to 40Ibs) as needed
Commitment Expectations:

Attend scheduled trainings, meetings, and exercises

Maintain active participation in team activities and responses

Occasional public education events
