Summary
Armada Staffing Group is hiring for a full-time 1st Shift Assembly position in Garrett, IN. This role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on assembly work in a manufacturing environment. Team members will assemble products using hand and power tools, verify quality standards, and ensure finished products meet specifications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare work for assembly by reviewing pick tickets, bills of materials (BOMs), and gathering required parts, components, and tools
- Assemble components according to specifications and verify proper fit, function, and quality
- Read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and assembly requirements
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the assembly process
- Measure finished products and verify specifications using appropriate measuring tools
- Perform quality inspections to ensure inbound and outbound products are accurate and free from defects
- Assist with physical inventory counts and inventory control activities as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines
- Communicate production issues, material shortages, or quality concerns to supervisors
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to follow written work instructions, blueprints, and diagrams
- Must be able to pass a Math Test
- Mechanically inclined with experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods at a workstation
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen
Expected hours: 40 per week
