FatBoys Food Shack (WAKE FOREST Location) is looking for AM Morning Line Cook/Prep Cooks to join our restaurant staff. Must be available to work every other weekend. Join the Team!! We are locally owned and operated.
Compensation: up to $16 per hour depending on experience
Shift Needed: DAY SHIFT (10am-4pm). Must work every other weekend.

LINE/PREP COOKS DUTIES:
- Prep and cook southern savory food. Must have at least 3 years experience.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
- Maintain clean and tidy checkout/work areas while following health codes.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
- Chop vegetables, prepare sauces and other food preparation. WE PREP A LOT OF MEATS and SIDES INCLUDING SEAFOOD ON THE MORNING SHIFT. MUST MAKE ENOUGH BACK-UPS FOR THE SECOND SHIFT.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
- Check inventory daily and Stock inventory FIFO.
- Follow ServSafe guidelines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or culinary setting
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of food handling and safety practices
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
- Experience in catering and food service is a plus
- Background in dietary departments or menu planning is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Frying, grilling, and prepping Southern savory food
