ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
1. Selects foster children for whom child specific and targeted recruitment will be required
2. Designs and carries out a community recruitment campaign using media, public awareness
activities and presentations
3. Participates in community adoption activities
4. Responds to adoption inquiry calls received on designated Wendy's Wonderful Kids 1-800 line
5. Ensures identified children are registered on Florida's internet adoption exchange and
Hillsborough Kids, Inc.'s adoption website
6. Establishes relationships with child and care manager to ensure appropriate interventions are
provided to prepare child for adoption and engagement in recruitment process
7. Refers waiting children and recruited families to appropriate supportive services that enhance
recruitment effort
8. Provides monthly statistical reports to supervisor
Master's degree in a human service field and four to ten years related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
