American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR/Surgery RN for a 13-week travel contract in New Braunfels, TX, supporting a high-volume surgical unit with a broad range of service lines including GI, robotics, and more.

General Surgery unit in a hospital setting
-
Service lines include GI (no dedicated GI team — OR staff cover GI cases both during the week and on call), general surgery, urology, GYN, vascular, ortho, neuro, robotics (Xi, DV5, and ION), reconstructive plastics, and podiatry; cardiovascular experience is a plus but not required

Minimal pediatric patient population

Multiple 8-hour day shifts available Monday–Friday: 0630–1500, 1100–1930, and 1400–2230

Epic EMR — experience highly preferred

Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license required

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of OR/surgical nursing experience

BSN preferred

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Social Security Number required for consideration

Provide nursing care utilizing the full nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation

Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness

Assess and address patient and family education needs, including psychological, emotional, cultural, and social considerations
