What You’ll Do
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their treatment journey while helping create a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete nursing assessment within forty-eight (48) hours of admission
- Follow the plan of care and evaluate response to treatment and altering interventions as indicated, documenting progress on the patient’s medical record.
- Accurately process and carry out all provider orders in a timely manner.
- Communicate with clinical staff pertinent information received from family members.
- Communicate and provide patient/family education regarding medications and changes recommended by provider.
- Schedule patient appointments with provider based upon level of care.
- Conduct Nursing Education Group as scheduled.
- Attend treatment team meetings as required.
- Supervise patient self-administration of medication.
- Document discharge instructions including discharge medication and obtain signature of discharge medication reconciliation form, diet, and activities as appropriate.
- Follow-up contact for ill patients absent from program.
- Report any signs/symptoms of infection and initiate appropriate infection control measures.
- Maintain temperature control logs for all refrigerators and submit copy to Nurse Manager each month.
- Coordinates employee health needs such as hand hygiene trainings
- Oversees implementation of the infection control plan.
- Submit monthly reports of patient illnesses recorded at facility in a timely manner.
- Providing support for all staff members regarding the management of infectious patients and other infection prevention issues.
- Making recommendations regarding the prevention and control of infection on a necessary basis.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: A graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required
Experience: 1 year of outpatient mental health experience in outpatient behavioral health, PHP/IOP settings, psychiatric or mental health facilities, or adolescent-focused programs.
Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Texas
Certifications: CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
