What you will do:
This position is responsible for managing and settling homeowner property insurance claims within an assigned authority, operating independently with minimal supervision. The role requires extensive interaction with insured individuals, their legal representatives, and customer agents, as well as occasional contact with law enforcement officials. Key responsibilities include preparing and submitting reports within specified time frames in accordance with the Claims Technical Manual and supervisory requirements. The position also involves performing additional duties as assigned and ensuring compliance with all corporate policies and procedures.
This role is hybrid to our Charlotte-Ballantyne, NC or New Hartford, NY offices.
- Position requires extensive personal contact with insureds, their legal representatives and customer agents. Occasional contact with law enforcement officials may be required.
- Operate on an independent basis with limited supervision in handling/settling claims within assigned authority.
- Submit reports within specified time frames as required by the Claims Technical Manual or as required by supervisor or manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures.
What you need
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years' homeowner adjusting experience in first party property line of business preferred; commercial property experience a plus.
Licensing
Required to obtain your license(s) as an adjuster in the state(s) in which you are assigned to adjust claims. Licensing must be obtained within the timeframe set forth by the Company and must be maintained as needed throughout your employment.
Salary Range: $70,000-$92,000
The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range will take into consideration the individual’s work experience, geographic location, education, certification(s) or additional qualifications, and scope and responsibilities within the role.
