Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting different types of equipment to various destinations. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring that our equipment is delivered safely and on time.
Duties:
- Drive trucks to transport equipment to designated locations
- Load and unload equipment, from skid steers, light plants, excavators, wheel loaders, etc
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and cosmetic issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the truck
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
- Ensure that all equipment is properly secured and protected during transportation
- Operate specialized equipment, such as heavy machinery, as required
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in equipment transportation
- Proficiency in operating various types of trucks and equipment
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to operate forklifts or other heavy equipment is a plus
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
