Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Semi Tractors and Semi Tractor-Trailers, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical components. Your expertise will ensure that equipment operates safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines and heavy equipment using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and electrical testing tools.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on semi tractors and semi tractor-trailers, including brake repair, transmission servicing, suspension work, and air brake systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues related to hydraulics, air systems, electrical systems, HVAC components, and mechanical failures to identify root causes efficiently.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to execute repairs with precision and safety.
- Conduct equipment inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan.
- Assist in fabrication tasks such as welding or custom modifications for specialized equipment needs.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and ensure compliance with safety standards during all repair activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a diesel mechanic or service technician in a dealership or heavy equipment environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and heavy machinery maintenance.
- Familiarity with OEM schematics and automotive diagnostics tools for accurate troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with machinery servicing including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial equipment.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently during repairs or testing procedures.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance-related tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on equipment troubleshooting and repair accuracy.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various outdoor conditions for extended periods.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
