Position Summary
The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate instruction in a Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts classroom while supporting the individual needs of children, including those receiving Early Intervention services. The Lead Teacher fosters a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom where every child can thrive socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Pennsylvania Early Childhood Education Certification (PK-4).
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards and Pre-K Counts requirements.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with families, colleagues, and community partners.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, hands-on learning experiences aligned with Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
- Collaborate with Early Intervention professionals to implement individualized supports and strategies.
- Observe, assess, and document children's growth and development.
- Build positive relationships with children and families through regular communication.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and Pre-K Counts performance standards.
- Foster children's independence, confidence, and social-emotional development through positive guidance techniques.

Pay: $24.05 - $28.63 per hour
