Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and highly skilled Class A Double Bottom Commercial Drivers to join our dynamic transportation team. Driver must have double/triples endorsement. Manuel and automatic trucks available. In this role, you will operate specialized tractor-trailer combinations designed for double bottom hauling sand and gravel, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of freight across designated routes. Duties
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers with double bottom, mega dumps configurations, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation)
- Follow GPS navigation systems and route plans accurately to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel efficiency.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor-trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, route information, and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and freight delivery.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials containers.
- Strong knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures including load & unload operations and dangerous goods regulations.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for efficient route planning and real-time tracking.
- Ability to comply with all FMCSA, DOT, regulations and safety standards governing commercial trucking operations.
- Skilled in manual handling techniques for cargo loading/unloading to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with doubles/triples endorsements relevant to the trailer types operated.
